  Only now it seemed I was going to get to have a guy like him.

  "He's cooking breakfast," I said. "He always did that."

  "Are you regretting your decision already?" Eric asked.

  There was a strain to his voice. There was something there that said he was still very much afraid this was all going to end in tears. And maybe it would still end in tears, but I didn't think so. No, as I looked at him all I could think about was how right this felt.

  "I keep telling you I don't regret it at all," I said. "But if you keep asking me you might get a different answer. Got it?"

  He held up his hands. "Totally got it!"

  "Good," I said, leaning in and kissing him. "Besides. He's probably making breakfast as part of some plan Kylie has to butter us up so they can fuck us again."

  "Well that might not be such a bad idea," Eric said.

  "Down boy," I said.

  I took a deep breath. Tried to let it out nice and slow. I wasn't sure what to think about this. I was going to walk down there and see my best friend from school and my former fiancé who was now sorta dating my best friend from school.

  At least I thought he was now sorta dating my best friend from school. The point is I wasn't sure what the hell was going on here, or how the hell to deal with this.

  But it was what it was, and that meant I was going to have to learn to deal pretty fucking fast!

  "You made it!" she said, coming around the island and wrapping me in a huge hug.

  Hell, who the fuck was I kidding? I knew exactly what the fuck my answer was going to be. For all that I hated that she knew exactly what the fuck my answer was going to be.

  "You're terrible," I said.

  "And yet you can't wait to feel me down between your legs again, can you?" she asked, her voice suddenly going all hoarse and breathy. That caused me to shiver even as I got so fucking wet between my legs.

  I looked at my former fiancée making out with the girl I guess was my new girlfriend maybe? It was a little early to tell what the hell was going on, but I liked where things were going.

  I looked at that Eric dude. He just grinned and shrugged. After all, we were watching two hot girls making out. Wasn't that the ultimate fantasy, after all? I wasn't going to knock it.

  A lot of crazy shit had happened, but hell. We were still here. We were still alive. And it looked like we'd done a little bit of a shuffle that resulted in us being exactly where we needed to be.
